QSAN S series is ideal for Microsoft Exchange and SQL server for several reasons. First of all, it connects directly to the server host to dedicatedly provision disk I/O without any unnecessary file system or network stack overhead involved which might tradeoff performance & system stability. Compared to limited internal storage S series provides up to multiple Terabytes depending on HDD size used. For example, a 200 employee company each is assigned 10GB storage space adding up to 2TB overall, which can be easily satisfied by S series with 16 X 500GB or 750G HDD installed running RAID 5 or RAID 6 with spare disks. Actually with this amount of storage it's more than sufficient to serve to all application servers required in SMB environment (e.g. web, CRM or others). |
