Video Editing and Digital Surveillance
In Video Editing arena, High Definition (HD) refers to resolution higher than 576 lines. In general the HD frame is either 1280 (pixels) x 720 (lines), or 1920 x 1080. The biggest problem you run into when working with these higher resolutions is data rate. A 1920x1080 10-bit 4:2:2 30fps requires 1.2+Gbps which translates to 540+GB per hour space requirement.
